By accessing or using Orah Bible on any platform (web, iOS or Android), you agree to these Terms of Use. Please read carefully before using the service.

1. Acceptance of Terms

Use of Orah Bible constitutes full acceptance of these terms. If you do not agree with any part of them, do not use the service. These terms apply to all users, regardless of plan.

2. Service Description

Orah Bible is a Bible reading and study platform available on the web (orahbible.com) and as a mobile app for iOS and Android. The service offers Bible reading in multiple versions and languages, study tools (highlights, bookmarks, notes, reading plans) and AI-generated explanations. We reserve the right to change or discontinue any feature or functionality without prior notice.

3. Plans and Features

Free Plan: Bible reading, verse search, highlights, bookmarks, notes, reading plans, verse of the day and cross-device sync. Available to all users with an account.

Premium Plan: includes all free features plus unlimited access to AI-generated explanations. The premium plan requires an active paid subscription.

4. Subscription and Billing

Premium subscriptions are processed by Stripe, with automatic monthly or annual renewal depending on the chosen plan. Billing occurs at the beginning of each billing period.

You will be notified by email before any change in subscription price.

To cancel, go to account settings in the app or contact support by email. Cancellation stops automatic renewal at the end of the already paid period, maintaining premium access until the end of that period.

Refunds: we do not offer refunds for periods already used. Exceptional cases may be evaluated upon request to support.

5. User Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your access credentials and for all activities carried out on your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access. Each account is personal and non-transferable. We reserve the right to disable any account at any time if we identify a violation of these Terms.

6. Artificial Intelligence Content

AI-generated explanations are for educational and informational purposes only. They do not replace professional theological, pastoral or spiritual counseling. Generated content may contain inaccuracies and should be used with critical discernment. Orah Bible is not responsible for decisions made based solely on AI explanations.

7. Biblical Texts

Biblical texts are obtained through third-party APIs (bolls.life, bible-api.com) and are subject to the licenses and copyrights of each translation. Credits for each version are available in the app. Orah Bible respects the intellectual property rights of all translations used.

8. Intellectual Property

The design, source code, brand, logo and other original elements of Orah Bible are the property of Dokse Labs and are protected by copyright. Reproduction, distribution or creation of derivative works without express written authorization is prohibited.

9. Acceptable Use and Prohibitions

By using Orah Bible, you agree not to:

  • Use the service for illegal purposes or in violation of any applicable laws or regulations
  • Exploit, harm or attempt to harm minors in any way
  • Impersonate any person, company or entity
  • Use the service for unauthorized commercial purposes
  • Use robots, scrapers or other automated means to access, monitor or copy content from the service
  • Introduce viruses, malware, Trojan horses or any malicious code
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the system, servers or databases
  • Attack the service via denial of service (DoS/DDoS) or any other method
  • Interfere with the proper functioning of the service or the experience of other users
  • Collect personal data from other users

10. Monitoring and Account Suspension

We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to: (a) take any action we deem necessary in the face of any violation of these Terms or threat to the safety of other users; (b) suspend or terminate access to the service, in whole or in part, at any time and for any reason; (c) cooperate with competent authorities upon legal request, including disclosure of necessary information. We are not responsible for any losses resulting from actions taken in accordance with this section.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free or virus-free, that defects will be corrected, or that the service or servers that make it available are free of harmful components. Use of the service is entirely at the user's own risk.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Orah Bible is not responsible for direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special or punitive damages arising from the use or inability to use the service, including data loss, lost profits or business interruption, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

13. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify and hold harmless Orah Bible, Dokse Labs, its employees, directors and service providers from any claims, damages, losses, costs and attorney's fees arising from:

  • violation of these Terms
  • misuse of the service
  • violation of third-party rights through your use of the service

14. Minimum Age

The service is intended for persons 13 years of age or older. Users under 18 must have parental or guardian consent to create an account and make paid subscriptions.

15. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of Brazil. Any disputes will be submitted to the courts of Recife, State of Pernambuco, Brazil.

16. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found invalid or unenforceable by a competent court, such provision shall be limited to the minimum extent necessary so that the remaining terms continue in full force and effect.

17. Entire Agreement

These Terms of Use and the Privacy Policy constitute the complete agreement between you and Dokse Labs regarding Orah Bible, superseding any prior agreements on the same subject matter.

18. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Significant changes will be communicated by email or in-app notice at least 15 days in advance. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
